台灣廣播股份有限公司台北廣播電台前身為民聲廣播電台，第一廣播部於民國39年3月15日成立，廣播頻率1320千赫，發射電力200瓦特，台址設台北市成都路59號2樓，當時沒有發射鐵塔，僅以竹竿架設，創台前三年業績不善，連連虧損，從42年起才轉虧為盈，發射電力改為500瓦，民國44年充實設備，47年7月後遷至廈門街81巷22號日式花園房舍，播音室、辦公房舍與發射鐵塔均設於同址。現廣播頻率已變更1323千赫。
