Radio Gangsta a fost auzit in aparatele de radio pentru prima data in anul 1997-1998 . Pe vremea aceea el se putea asculta doar in cartierul Berceni neavand o arie de acoperire foarte mare. De ce numele de Radio GANGSTA' ? ''Gangsta'' vine de la stilul de muzica gangsta-rap iar numele postului de radio si anume Radio GANGSTA' este inspirat de pe coperta unei casete audio care la acea vreme era in mare voga ;) . Probabil daca erau la moda manelele atunci si acest post de radio avea alt nume probabil inspirat de pe coperta unei compilatii de manele :)
