A história da Rádio Meridional se funde com a de Sinop. A emissora que hoje é líder em toda região norte do Estado, nasceu no inicio de década de 80 por iniciativa do governo federal através do presidente João Figueiredo atendendo reivindicação do pioneiro e colonizador Ênio Pipino.
