“天下山水之观在蜀、蜀之胜曰嘉州。” 乐山，古称嘉州，古蜀王开明故治。 乐山，是全国首批对外开放城市。开放豁达的乐山人以自己的热情和真诚欢迎八方友人。 乐山，是全国优秀旅游城市。自然与文化双遗产乐山大佛和峨眉山世界驰名、享誉中内外。 乐山，是全国历史文化名城。宋代大文豪“三苏”（苏洵、苏轼、苏辙父子）以及当代著名的文学家郭沫若都是乐山人。李白、杜甫、岑参、范大成、黄庭坚、陆游等文化名人或在乐山为官，或在乐山游历，留下了脍炙人口的诗篇。 根植于这片土地的乐山市人民广播电台创建于1987年1月，秉承“党委政府喉舌、真诚为民服务”传统，经过22年的发展,目前已经成为全国广播协作体常务理事台、中国城市广播联盟理事台、九州连横副董事长台，与近100家中央、省、市级电台建立了协作关系。
