河北人民广播电台经济广播创建于1993年10月1日。先后创办了《北方快车》、《建楼读报》、《天天天下》、《财经直播室》、《京津冀之声》、《今天有话说》等多档在社会上具有广泛影响的节目，涌现出建楼、重阳、晓蔚等一大批在听众中影响广泛的优秀的节目主持人。 2011年，经济频道再度重拳出击,确定了“以民生为内核，以财经为主打，以京津冀三地资源共享为载体的”的全新定位，借助外力，开放办广播，与国家级媒体及京津高校合作，共同打造河北第一的专业经济广播。
